Whenever I post a picture on my Instagram or Facebook account of a motocross track, I get a lot of comments from my friends or people I know back home in Belgium on how lucky I am and how jealous they are. And yes, I am lucky, the motocross facilities over here in Texas are amazing, and I’m only beginning to discover all the tracks, events, and private properties where you can have fun on wheels. The motocross tracks are perfectly prepared and laid out, every day is a good day. Add the fact that I can actually go ride the local track in January, not even have mud on the bike at the end of the day and finish in the evening grilling meat by the pool… It is pretty amazing and a big difference. Back in Belgium, we used to sometimes drive 3 hours in order to find a track that was open and rideable because of… rain.
But, as amazing as that all is, one of the things I probably miss the most over here is just those fun days where you go out riding with your friends you’ve been riding with for so long. There’s a few groups of people I used to go ride with in Belgium, depending if we went to a track, trail riding or just go to a private ‘secret’ riding spot. And those are the best, they truly are. Imagine arriving at a sand pit, and there’s nobody around except yourself and a few riding buddies. You unload the bikes, start combining some lines, building some turns, and little by little you carve your own track in for the day. Riding each others bikes, tinkering around, making jokes and having lots of fun. It’s basically the same thing we did as boys with our toy cars or bikes in the sand box, but now we’re grown up boys playing with grown up toys.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download
That’s something I definitely look forward to once I get back in Belgium! An if any of you want to experience the winter riding over here, just let me know!
